Honoring and Remembering Larry House
August 12, 1957 – August 7, 2016
On August 7, 2016, Larry House, president of Cranbury Comfort, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident.
For the House and Cranbury Comfort family, this has been a tragic and devastating loss of unimaginable proportions. The goal of Cranbury Comfort Systems is to carry on the incredible legacy that Larry had with EVERY person, colleague, friend and customer he came in contact with: Love, Honor, and Integrity.
Larry House will be remembered as a man of service.
Service to his family
Larry was a loving and supportive husband to his wife Leslie throughout their 39 years of marriage. Larry and Leslie have four adult daughters, four sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren who miss him dearly.
Service to his church family
Larry became a Pastor at Celebration Community Church in Bordentown in 1991. His ministry as a teacher, pastor, and praise and worship leader blessed the congregation. He, along with Leslie, also served as youth leaders and led couples through marriage counseling. Larry’s service to his church family is profoundly missed by his brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Service to his country
As a young adult, Larry enlisted in U.S. Air Force and was stationed in central Florida. After his time in the Air Force was complete, he worked as a NASA subcontractor focused on the Space Shuttle launch systems.
Service to his community
Larry was raised in East Windsor, graduated from Hightstown High School, and Mercer County Community College. Those who remember Larry from his hometown remember that even as a young man, “Larry exhibited qualities of one who loved God and Others. He was a real boy/man and sensitive to the needs of his neighbor” as Pastor Walt Stuart pointed out.
Cranbury Comfort customers also experienced Larry’s heart of service when they were in need and expressed their sadness in hearing about Larry’s passing.
Elise writes just after his death: “I met Larry just 2 weeks ago when he came to our home to discuss a new air conditioner. He was professional, yet warm, he was informative without being condescending. He presented all the options and did not push any particular one. I trusted him. I told him my husband was in the hospital, and he said he would pray for him. He seemed to know my need. A great loss. A wonderful man.”
We are thankful for Larry’s legacy of service that lives on in his family and church family. Here at Cranbury Comforts, the new owner, Ginger Olschewski, who worked for years with Larry in the daily ebbs and flows at Cranbury Comfort, will strive to carry on Larry’s legacy of service to the community and our amazing customers.
Ginger brings her 25+ years’ experience in the HVAC industry to the Cranbury Comfort customers that Larry and the Cranbury Comfort team served so well.
Thank you, Larry House! We miss you and will always remember you today and always. We will honor you with each and every Cranbury Comfort customer and team member we serve.
With warmest regards,
~ Ginger Olschewski
